Intro
On this week’s episode, Mookie creeps Erica out with the origin story of the chainsaw and Erica intrigues Mookie with the story of Pablo Escobear.
Mommy, where do Chainsaws Come From?
When Leatherface wielded the chainsaw in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre to murder innocent people, I wonder if HE knew he was striking fear in the hearts of everyone by murdering with an obstetrics instrument? Thanks to an Instagram post, Mookie discovers the origins of the modern chainsaw is actually rooted in childbirth!
Pablo Escobear Stole the Coke!
Kentucky is known for the Kentucky Derby, big hats, and a taxidermized bear with a bit of a drug problem. In the early 80’s, former narcotics cop-turned-drug-trafficker Tony Thornton dumped a bag of coke in the North Georgia mountains. After a drug dump gone wrong, an unfortunate bear stumbled upon 40 bags of pure cocaine and became infamous, forever tied to a story proving that fact is stranger than fiction.
